A career built on owning what ships

The move across the stack came quickly; the move into leading it came faster. By mid-2018 he was Senior Full-Stack Engineer and Team Lead at Technovia Ltd, responsible for an existing estate of Laravel, CodeIgniter and Ionic/TypeScript applications, and coordinating priorities across the stack rather than working one lane of it. That role introduced the part of the job no framework documents: defining system specifications and performance metrics with stakeholders, so that "done" means something both sides agreed in advance.

At Truckka Logistics Ltd, from late 2018, the scope moved from leading a stack to architecting a system. He built a freight management platform in Laravel and its companion Kotlin mobile application, then integrated third-party tracking APIs and IoT logistics data to support dynamic delivery routing. Logistics is an unforgiving place to learn distributed thinking: the trucks are real, the signal drops, the route changes mid-journey. He led the agile iteration cycle there. It was a second Team Lead appointment in as many years.

In February 2020 he joined Baxi by Onafriq as a Senior Software Engineer, and stayed six years. A payments platform is mostly other people's systems. He led backend development of the FIAP Transfer Service in Java and Spring Boot, streamlining financial transfer operations across 8+ partner banks. Each integration had its own contract, its own edge cases, its own definition of a successful transfer. He integrated the B2B middleware with MTN's Mobile Money API, and brought 14+ value-added-service billers into that middleware using Laravel and Node.js: airtime, electricity, betting.

Underneath the integrations he built and maintained the Biller Aggregation Platform and its BAP Reporting Service in Node.js and Java/Spring Boot: the layer that turns a scatter of partner APIs into something the business can build on. He also designed the Baxi Card Support Portal in Laravel to improve agent issue resolution. He moved into the engineering leadership team, mentoring junior developers and coordinating sprint planning and delivery: Assistant Team Lead in 2022, and Overall Best DevOps / Engineer at Onafriq in 2025.

From late 2023, concurrent contract work at Centric Platform: scalable Node.js microservices for Abiapay, and an automated tax compliance model in Python using NLP to extract key insights from financial data: the backend systems behind the PAYTAX ABIA and PAYTAX IBEJU government tax automation projects. Government financial systems have to be correct before they can be convenient, and that constraint shapes every decision inside them.

Since June 2024 he has been Lead Senior Software / DevOps Engineer on the Deityvillas (GHECS) property management platform, where the earlier threads meet: in-house backend microservices architected in PHP, a React Native application shipped to iOS and Android, a user-engagement model served through TensorFlow Serving with inference optimised for the live web application, and the CI/CD, Docker and AWS S3 infrastructure underneath all of it.

The through-line is not a framework. It is ownership, taking a system people depend on without thinking about software, and being accountable for it from the service boundary to the deployment pipeline.

He is studying towards a B.Sc. in Computer Science at the National Open University of Nigeria, holds an OND in Civil Engineering from Auchi Polytechnic, and is based in Lagos. He is open to senior and lead engineering roles internationally.
